A good turnout this Monday night with a few club members we don’t
normally see.
We had a potential new amateur turn up to find out more
about our hobby before taking a foundation course in the autumn. John asked lots of questions before being
shown a MKARS80 and a Kenwood TS-2000 in operation. We showed him both HF and
VHF and he was happy with what he was shown.
Chris informed us that the International Space Station was
due to pass over head at about 21:00 local so we all went out to the car park.
After a few minutes and right on time as predicted the ISS came into sight. It
passed right over head and was visible for about 5 minutes.
Some more discussion on voice keyers and other topics were
had plus lots of tea and coffee.
