Callum and his Dad did some more of the foundation course this evening with Neil.

John finished off the installation of his mobile radio in the car, which was working well.

Laurence and Alex had the TS2000 out again, and were listening around the bands, and Tim and Joe were discussing echolink.

and the usual drinking of tea and chat.

We had a really good turnout considering the bad weather. Callum and his Dad turned up for his training. 

The guys had the Kenwood TS-2000 out and were operating. Various discussions took place as well as a lot of coffee and tea drinking.

Due to the bad weather we closed at 22:00 and continued on GB3NS.

Monday 14/01/2013

Another good turnout for our play night. Tim and Joe, Students from our Foundation course were operating HF. Neil was doing some training with Callum and his Dad. They also did some vhf operating for the first time.

Chris and John were making a radio head extension cable for John’s radio. John should be mobile soon.

Plus lots of discussion along with flowing tea and coffee.

Last Monday we had a good turnout after our Christmas and New Year break. The evening turned into a discussion evening with various groups tackling various subjects.

We had two new students who were starting their foundation course with their exam to follow in a few weeks.

After our break

After our Christmas and New Year break we are back at the Scout Hall in Banstead. I’m looking forward to this Monday, to catch up on what’s been happening over the break.

There will be some training happening for new students along with our normal activities.
