Lots happened this Monday night.
John has got a new toy , Its a Yaesu FT-757GX which we checked for him and found it to be working well.
Chris has been helping John get ready for his first VHF contact by explaining what you have to do on the training course practicals. Once John was happy we got him to make his first VHF contact. Thats another part of his foundation practical course done.
Some of the guys were doing practice surface mount soldering on old computer boards. This is in preparation for a surface mount kit they will be building shortly.
I managed to reprogram my mobile rig now that GB3NS has returned to its old frequency after the olympics.
Denis was showing us his new Raspberry Pi computer on which he had the old BBC micro operating system.
Tea and coffee was an all night .
All in all the evening was over too quickly.
